Yeon Park is an award-winning documentary filmmaker based in San Francisco, with 8 years of professional experience as a producer, director, cinematographer and editor.

She was a full-time producer and director at SBS (a nationwide TV network based in Seoul, South Korea) where she directed, filmed and edited a variety of non-fiction shows and trailers.

After 4 years of rigorous training in the TV industry, she pursued an MFA in Documentary Film and Video from Stanford University. She has made four short documentaries that have been screening worldwide.

Her recent film I Bought a Time Machine premiered at 2020 Visions du Reel, and was nominated as a Student Academy Award semi-finalist.

Her filmmaking style involves using humor as a tool to explore deeper truths. Whether it is a mysterious time machine sold on eBay or millennial parents filming their newborn baby with a snapchat filter on, she is drawn to the power of humor to open up bigger questions about life.
